Not All of the Answers Are Blowing In the Wind

2 Apr

A recent article by MinnPost.com, which can be found here, describes a growing controversy related to the development of a mass wind farm in Goodhue County, Minnesota.  It appears that residents in the county share many of the concerns regarding which this blog has previously posted articles (see posts – 01/12/10, 02/08/10).  It further appears from the article that those opposing the project are soon to meet particularly well-financed support for the project in the form of T. Boone Pickens, the former oil tycoon turned wind energy spokesman.  Minnesota wind energy continues to be at the center of many of the issues in the country’s wind energy development.  The manner in which the issue in Red Wing plays out will perhaps provide a glimpse of what’s to come in other areas of the country.  Contact the Wind Energy attorneys at Thomsen Nybeck for more information on our wind energy practice.

This blog entry is written by Chris Renz, a shareholder at Thomsen Nybeck. Chris practices in the litigation area of the firm with primary focus on wind energy-related lease litigation, real estate litigation, employment litigation, townhome and condominium law, and criminal law, particularly as the prosecutor for the Metropolitan Airports Commission
